Sorry everyone if this has already been answered. I did searches and found a lot of aftermarket conversations about widening wheels and stuff, but I do not want to widen my wheels. I would like to know what is the biggest size tire I can fit on the rears of the stock wheels? I thought it was 305 35 20s, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you.

Hi MoparRules, I have ordered my Hellcat Challenger but I will not get it until mid/late November. The dealer has committed in writing to provide me a new pair of the stock rear rims at dealer cost at delivery, as I intend to wear the biggest drag radials that they will accommodate. However, from what I see at the nittotireDOTcom site, their NT555R Drag Radials show that 10” is the minimum width required for the 305/35R20. I understand that the stock rims are 9.5” :(

depends on the brand of tire--measurements not size, would be the way to go..

305/35/20 seems the be the general consensus.

FYI, the specs for the Nitto DRs I referenced are 28.58 overall height, and 12.17 overall width. I wear smaller Nitto 275/50R15 on my 87 Grand National, and on my 72 Buick GS 455 Stage 1, both on the extra pair of stock rims I have for each. I was also hoping to put the 305's on my Hellcat.

Thx everyone for chiming in. I had thought I'd read on here others got 305s on their stock wheels. However, since i never go to the track and only drive aggressively around town I only want to put a wider performance tire on the rears, vice a DR. Anyone on here done this? I think there are Eagles F1s and Pirrellis in that size, but pricey. Any thoughts?

I think if you bought a larger size in the pirrellis or f1s it would defeat the purpose of getting new tires you still would blow then off these cats need a sicky compound even for street driving

It roasts the P-Zero 315/35 (106Y) about as easy as the 275. It is just more silent, it won't squeal, it just burns itself off and/or you can look in the mirror and see two black strips at about any speed.

The stock wheels are to small for a larger tire.
Step Up and buy some wheels 10.5 wide for a 10 inch rear tire.

I take it you've done this on yours DGatzby? Do you regret it now and wish you got the DR's? Also, did you get bigger rear wheels or just the factory ones? Thx for the info.
