at the track today with drs and i ran a few with launch control. All was good.

Went back after a brief rain stoppage and launch control no longer holds the car at 1800 rpms. I get the message to apply breaks but when i step on the thottle the car just tries to go.

Scared the crap out of me. Dis this twice in a row.

Any ideas or has anyone experienced this?

In the manual you will find it says that launch control is NOT FOR A PREPPED SURFACE!!!! Meant to be used on road course start line, not a prepped drag strip. Also will help give you the best times on the street again a NON prepped surface.....
Hopefully you haven't damaged anything and you're computer just needs a reset?!?

You have to put quite a bit of pressure on the brake pedal for it to work. The only indication you get that you didnt have enough pressure is that it doesnt hold the rpm (i.e. It doesnt work). Technically the car has to read 30Hg off the brake booster to be satisfied that you are holding the brake hard enough for LC to activate.

Hmmmm. . . . mine has never worked from the get go. Ive tried it 30-40 times and it always starts spinning the tires. no matter what RPM i put it in, it says apply break and quickly throttle, as soon as the throttle gets mashed it starts spinning tires. Im gonna try it again on my way home and literally push the break all the way to the ground haha.

I thought i applied decent break preassure. Not a big deal i was just trying it out but i ended up posting better numbers launching myself.
