so I finally tried the launch control and it doesn't work no matter what I set the rpm too ... I activate launch mode car says apply break and push throttle I do that and instead of holding the rpm it just over powers rear breaks and burns out... Anyone have same issue?

You must be past 500 miles or there about before launch control works. Or maybe it's 1500 miles. Either way, how many miles on your car?

I had same issue. You really gotta push hard on the brakes. It worked when I really smashed the breaks down. Try that.

I assume you have a auto. In my m6 the push throttle really means stab to the floor rapidly. The rpms will go to preset and stay there.

You have to RAPIDLY apply the accelerator. Don't try to ease into it or it won't work. Stomp on it.

I thought it was above the break in point (500 miles). I had the same issue, but I was under the 500 miles at the time. Also, it tells you on the display screen exactly what to do in order to engage the "launch sequence."

My launch control is not activated yet. However I will try it once after it is broken in properly. The process and thought of it is daunting because I don't want to abuse my car.

It was awesome in my car, can't image how awesome it is with a couple hundred more horsepower. Do it at least once.

I am going to do it but on a isolated road with some of my cat pals. There are a bunch of us that want to do it, just not next to each other

mine works. well it still burns the tires but less than just punching it. It will rev to the setting I set though. Wheel must be straight. Hold the brake HARD. PUNCH IT and release brake.......

Themip is right. The trick is you have to push the brake pretty hard.

Here's a vid of when I got it right

And here's what happened BEFORE I figured it out:
