Bought the Raptor new in 2012 but finally decided it was time for a new truck. I was looking around and went to the DriversWay sit for an instant cash value from them on the Raptor. They offered me over $41k! I bought it for 48k and have 44k miles on it.

And so, out with the old in with the new! Ended up with a 2016 Longhorn 2500 Cummins. I seem to be cross country towing every year and this will be a nice change. My last Cummins was in 1993. What a big change between the two.

Only one Chevy left now, the Z06 vert. I wonder if it's time for a Viper?

Those new trucks are incredibly nice

Haven't had the fortune of driving a new Viper yet, but I'd probably take a Viper over a Z06. There's just something about that V10....sounds so awesome

You'll enjoy the CTD. I'm on my 3rd.

My favorite of the 3 is this '07 5.9L CTD Megacab 3500 4x4 dually. I cross country towed with it a number of times. I'm a recent SoCal transplant & would take it & my Jeep to the desert a lot.

Viper vs Z06...IMO isn't even a question, Viper all day. There are vettes on every corner, of course not all are the Z06 but to the common person they can't tell the difference and you'll be just yet another vette guy. Get a Viper and people will notice, there aren't many of those on the streets.

My wife's car (2007 Hyundai Sonata) which she bought in college, was her daily driver when it was totaled by hail in 2011. It was still driveable, so we bought it back, but I told her that she could get any vehicle she wanted; she waited a couple of years and decided in 2014 that she wanted a 2014 Dodge 2500 CTD in Mega Cab with the regular size bed (6'4"). She also wanted a Laramie with the black-out package. She loves that truck and jokes about how she hauls the groceries home and can't even notice all the added weight, hahaha!

I think it is a great vehicle and I am sure you will enjoy yours pink68. ,

Nice flip on the Raptor. They hold their value well. I'm in the market for the 2017 Raptor next fall.

I did like the raptor but in the end it wasn't as bad ass as advertised IMO. Still a nice truck that over three years never developed one problem. The new Ram is fun to drive though and I look forward to lots of miles running across the US.
