i just got done doing it again to my rims and rear spoiler....i use their FW1 cleaning wax...in a spray can...i spray it on a clean cloth, let it dry and go back and wipe it off....it will give your rims about a 25% glossy look...maybe even 50%.....makes the black darker....no streaks or issues.....my guess is it will work on the black hoods too

your black rims will never look so good

Are you talking about matte areas or gloss areas?

According to Dodge SRT, the satin finished products like the optional hood, fuel door cover and rear spoiler shouldn't be waxed. There are a couple special products to use on those surfaces. I think there is info in the wiki about that.

I had the spoiler and all of the exterior plastic surfaces covered in CQuartz when I had my car done. It's a great protector.

I really like and use this product for the wheels. One word of caution. It will add a bit of gloss to the wheel so they look less satin more gloss. To me it's a very positive effect but if you want to keep the wheel looking as it was delivered this is not the stuff for you. They may even make a satin version now. Brake dust pretty much washes right off with just a hose as long as this is applied somewhat regularly. I take the wheels off, clean and apply every six months. I do the face of the wheels maybe once in between (while on the car).

I have been hitting my wheels and spoiler with numerous different types of spray on wax or quick detailers since day one. No issues here. But like stated it does give the satin black a little bit more gloss but I am OK with the look. I actually like it better.

When they say don't wax the satin parts I think they more so mean don't hit it full on with a paste wax or a liquid wax out of the bottle that you apply with a applicator pad.
