Other than the different warranty term on 2015 vs 2016, can anyone enlighten me on the disadvantages, if any, of purchasing a 2015 same color and options as 2016. Obviously there's a price difference, but looking for anything that might make the 2016 worth the extra $$ (or not).
I'm looking at a new 2015 and an almost identical 2016, same color in and out, the 2015 is a bunch cheaper.

    Thanks.

Very minor difference. There are a few infotainment items like Siri and a few things to the radio. Basically the same car. Color is another item, only in 2015 Sublime and Phantom Black, in 2016 Plum Crazy and soon Gomango. Other than the warranty you mention, not too much different.

If it was an early build 2015 I might shy away from it due to some issues they had - radiator, fuel rail leaks, etc. My late build 2015 seems to have any/all of those issues corrected. Supposedly the radio was upgraded on the 2016s to make the loading of apps and performance pages quicker but mine works fine for music, etc and I don't care much about the apps so I can't comment on it being slow.

In 2015 Laguna interior was an option (don't recall the price) but in 2016 it's standard and you still have the option of the same interior that was standard in 15.

Resale may be better on the 15 cause its a year old with 0 miles on it. Vs some on here that have 20k already

I would think that the resale value in a few years from now would be better on identical cars because it's a year newer and it's base price is thousands higher than the 2015's.

Does that make sense the way that I worded it?

Thanks for the replies. The 2016 has a $1500 upcharge for paint sealant and wheel locks, so that just adds more to the difference (was told about it after much back and forth for leasing info). I told them to stuff it on the $1500 and walked from the deal. Not paying $1500 on a car that I was planning on turning it at end of lease anyway.

That's a dealer charge, not FCA, you did the right thing telling them to stick it....

if your going to resell in a couple of years the 2016 will hold better resale.....if your going to keep for 20 years they will sell for the same price...

id pick a 2015 for myself all day long...it costs less and is the same car

    There's only ONE first year......

Time will tell, auctions in the future will begin by saying " 2015 Dodge Hellcats, first year production. ...."

pinetreecat....I agree 100%. I even thought about it right after I posted on this earlier. The only issue that I have
is that my first year of production car has been plagued with first year of production issues. I'd prefer a first year
or a last year of production in the future but in the present, it's not worth all of the issues that I've had. I'm pretty
sure that I bought one of the worst 2015 Hellcats built. Most of you guys with 15s seem to be having few if any
    issues.

Right now, I just want to drive the thing and enjoy it!!!

    why does this matter?

its the same car 15,16 and most likely 17,18

is a 65 mustang worth more than a 66 mustang? ....i dont know...dont think so

is a 68 charger worth more than a 69 charger?

dont see anyone paying $1 more because its a 2015

I typically avoid the first year run due to letting them work the bugs out.
