So I've been eyeballing both old and new Challengers with a jaundiced eye and have quickly come to realize I really dig the nostalgic look rear window louvers give to the overall appearance of the vehicle. There are a few on the market but none seen to come close to the quality, experience and reputation delivered by Dale's Cuda Shop in Ohio.

For me, the mechanically challeged, the offerings come in two variants, drill or 3M adhesive. Clearly the 3M gives you the option for total removal, the drill version quite the opposite. But I wax on, so here's the question: has anyone tried either on their hellcat and what's your verdict?

That's more of a Ford thing way back on the Boss 302

    cripes...don't drill !!
3m tape will be more than sufficient.
If you are going to do it, don't buy the cheesy molded ABS one, go with the aluminum

Thanks Paladin06, I'm tracking with you on all accounts in this thread. My real concern was liberation of the louvers at speed if I went with the 3M variant...no way I'd drill. Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry said it best, "...a man's got to know his limitations." I know mine...

Well, I've had my Hellcat up to 140 and my 08 up to 153 and they are still on. There is a note of caution on newer louvers that says no racing (drag racing) with louvers installed. That being said if you wanted to take them off it's an easy 6 screws and nuts at the top and two pull pins at the bottom and off they come.;)

3M VHB (Very high bond) tape is the real thing. Just make sure to prep the surface correctly. Anywhere the tape will stick to the car I would clean several times well with isopropyl alcohol. Make sure the tape is sticking to the paint and not a coat of wax.

No way would I personally consider a drill version. 3M all the way!
