My new HC is about to be put into service.
My intentions are to install low dust pads.
Should the rotors be broken with the stock Brembo pads or does it make any difference?

No difference, just install the pads and follow the bedding procedure described in the pads.

I dunno. I went to low dust pads on my prior SRT's and wound up coming back to reinstall the original pads. Something gets lost in that translation and either the performance or feel just does not feel right.

Don't get rid of those original pads.

the Z23 pads are great, no issues, but, if your going to road race your car, I would keep the stocks

I love my Z23 pads... virtually no dust and the braking is the same as with the originals. Back when I had my '08 Challenger I got tired of the dust and bought the only low dust pads I could find. They were full ceramic and I did feel the difference with more pedal pressure required. These new Z23's are a mixture of ceramic and carbon fiber. I wish they had been around when I had that Challenger.
By all means, follow the bedding instructions on the inside of the box. I think you'll like these pads too. If I were going racing I think I'd go with the Z26, full ceramic pads.

Will the Z23's decrease rotor life?

I don't know that anyone has had the Z23's long enough to say for sure. But I can tell you that the original Brembo pads ate up my original rotors on my '08 Challenger. At 22k miles the rotors were worn to low to be turned so I had to replace all four.

Are the Z23 pads made by Brembo?
