Am I making a mistake, planning on putting the Mickey ET drag radials on 20x10 161 wheels I have, and noticed Summit lists them as automatic only? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mtt-3402/overview/
Is it better to sell the new wheels and go with 18x10 with M/T Et Streets?

Traditionally, bias ply drag tires work better with manual transmissions because they can handle a clutch drop better and wrap around the rims. That doesn't mean you can't use them, you just have to be a decent driver and play with the launch to get it right. I install dozens of these every summer, most of which go on manual cars. Everyone loves them. They should really modify their statement on their website to not confuse people. Mickey thompson website says nothing about that.

She drives the HC to work on a rare nice day. I am wondering about leaving them on ocassionally. Is it okay to drive around on the Mickeys in normal street driving?

Yes. The ET street SS is a brand new tire and they have optimized the grooves for better hydroplane resistance over the old ET street 2's. They are street legal, just don't get caught in heavy rain.

Thanks, for your input and knowledge.

Familiar with bias ply M/T Et Streets, have them on this, 10 second NSS 4 speed toy. IMG_2332.JPG

Although I have not tried the MTs SS drag radial, TG is right about the rain.
I would suggest a short safe ride sometime during a not too much rain storm.
Then you can let us know how they are.
Because all of the Street Legal DR'S I used made the rain feel like ice, especially on turns.

    Linda :)

    Thanks Linda,
Car never really sees any rain, and I will change out the rears for the M/T DR before tracking the car, remove them when done. Should have probably gone with 17 or 18, oh well.
Looking forward to June 25th at Maple Grove.

    Thanks,
Your dad's car is pretty bad ass, 572" Stroker must really run.
Unfortunately I am selling my post car. Kind of a bummer but have another to restore.

Got the tires and wheels on the car! Awesome, no more kicking sideways easily! Car wants to run. Does seem a bit more squirmy under high acceleration. Running 34 PSI on the street.
Was a great B-day/fathers day present. MT DR.JPG
