Norton how many miles you have?
Could be you need to "burnish" it in a little,
Do you "smell" the clutch at all?
Does it happen in first gear only on starts,or ?
What about other gears can you feel the slip or the zip zip zip
Do rpm's rise quite a bit and you are going slow?
Almost sounds like it is "grabby" maybe grease/oil on pressure plate!
Does car "jerk" when foot off clutch or do you slip it?
When does the pedal "grab" should be near the end of pedal travel,
    Or does it feel spongey?
My advice is to find some dry pavement, point er straight and do some spirited launches, make sure there is no traffic and have a wide road, traction control on
    Of coarse and be careful.
Get clutch hot and see if that cleans er up for ya!
    My 2 cents

Mine slipped terrible a few times when I was figuring out the launch control. (Stock Pirellis) My friend thought I was spinning the tires but I knew something wasnt right.About 10 seconds later the whole inside of the car smelled like burnt clutch and still does when I turn the recirculation on for the ac/heat. I took it to the dealer for an appointment last week that I waited for a month to get and then they told me they didnt were not "Hellcat" approved because none of there techs had ever worked on one nor have they ever sold one so Im looking for a dealer in the Richmond Va area that can work on it. I have an oil leak coming from the right front that Im going to create a thread for and post some pics. I will keep you posted on the clutch. Something isnt right with it.

Yo Hellyeah44, If you are smelling clutch that bad it"s more or less shot. I'm hearing dodge will replace the clutch one time under one year old from delivery date. Now, finding a dealer that will do that can be a trip without a suitcase. Call SRT tell them your story, but only SRT direct number should be in your owner's manuel. If you are thinking of doing this yourself Bad Boyzz has a clutch for you$$$$.

In regards to cold - in NJ this week we had a couple of single digit days - no issue with clutch slipping. In regards to checking the clutch, you don't need a hill, shit I have gone from a stop to start in 6th (just to see), If it hooks that way you should be good.

I Never used it in the 7years I owned my 6 Speed Manual, I shut it off...

My understanding of how it works,it holds the brakes while clutch is depressed on a steep hill, and will release brakes when clutch is released so you don't have to "slip" it
    By foot pedal modulation.
Hill Start assist should have no effect on level ground what-so-ever!
May be easier to drive to dealership and take a tech for a ride and show them
What you are hearing or experiencing?
Or Take someone for a ride and take Video/recording of what is happening!
-is it difficult to get into 1st Gear?
-What does the shifter do when you hear the zipzipzipzip does it jump?
-does the engine feel like it is reducing power on/off on/off (dead throttle,
That would be traction control shutting off moteur)
May even be a sticky throw out bearing preventing clutch from fully releasing.

Norton You need to provide a better description of what is physically happening,
Pretty hard to troubleshoot by the description of sound alone.
    Something like the following
    Example;

starting from 1st gear from a stop
,on level ground, when the clutch is released,
There is a distinct feeling of the clutch slipping and you can hear it trying to engage.
The engine rpm or speed modulates with the sound, and the car shudders,
The shifter handle is jumpy when this happens! Once moving above 20kmph
Shifting to 2nd gear to 6th it is takes significant effort for trans.to go into gear when clutch pressed unless you blip the throttle and put slight pressure on shift handle.

With a more detailed description and some video I am sure you will have an answer
But do not be afraid to take it to selling dealership, this is why we have Warranty,
If it is not normal to you,it is within your rights to have it looked at,
    If you take it in,
do your due dilligence and Put it in Valet mode/Black key and
wait at dealership for your plum Baby,
with instructions you will be riding along with tech at all times! The service advisor at any shop should be able to pinpoint any issues.
I know it sucks to have issues, this sometimes happens, even to me & others!

The clutch in the M6 sucks. 5K miles normal driving and I'm replacing(under warranty) my clutch already. The clutch cannot handle no pressure. If you go full throttle the clutch will burn, how are we suppose to have just a little fun with an useless clutch? I regret buying my 1st American car. The HC it's a cappy car.

I've seen this almost exact same post in 4 threads now. We get it, you don't like the car and sorry you are having a crappy owner experience. That said, you have choices to remedy your situation. If all else fails then attempt a lawsuit. When that fails cut your losses, dump the vehicle and move on.

Understood and really am sympathetic. Just fight the fight with the company. All cars have issues. Trust me, I've had a lot of cars and none were perfect - including the most expensive, back in the day, car I owned in the C55 AMG. At the end of the day they are all machines so at one point they were just a pile of parts sitting on a bin somewhere. Between that point and it being parked in your garage, a lot can go wrong. The good news is that, for that very same reason, anything can be fixed....and be made better. If you love the car then fight for it, be the biggest pain in the azz that dealership has ever seen. Take it back often and have ducumentstion for every visit. At some point, dump a novels worth of paper on some executives desk - you'll get movement. However, if you fall in to the category of "I can barely afford this car and need to bash it because it'll make more sense when I get rid of it", then the once empathetic owners will look the other way.

I hope you get it squared away and these recent stories about crappy clutches and weird noises turn in to stories about an epic power slide you pulled off or how you set a personal best at the track.

Life is way too short to let a car dampen everything else, and to at least my ear, it sounds like that's started to happen.

Best of luck in whatever you decide to do.

I must ask, can you please expand on this? Is English your second language?
Does your clutch make a whining, groan, almost a squeal noise when taking off in first?
