I took my car in today. Back up camera is horse shi...... and i have some blown speakers as well as the whole driver side speakers going in and out. Both are on back order. Also they updated my pcm? I can't remember what he said. Anyway when i use to be in 2nd or 3rd gear and would let off the gas it would slow me down and gurgle and pop in all of its glorious tones. Now it seems like it will try and hold at that rpm as long as it can. It kinda sucks. Taking the joy out of driving a manual and being in full control. I like down shifting to save on the brakes too but again down shift from 3 to 2. Or 4 to 3 whatever im doing, it tries to keep the rpms up. Almost like a rev match. I hate this. Anybody else experience this?

The computer update I did at home fixed the speakers going in and out. Not sure about the trans. Maybe the mode you are driving in? I have the M6.

Also running the M6. Mine has always been like that. Shifting gears the rev's don't drop off fast enough. No pop or gurgles. My wife 2014 mustang gt has a much more lively exhaust crackle on the down shift etc.
    anyone know how to revert?

I just noticed this. I usually leave off the gas when I see a red light, turn, traffic, etc. and let the engine slow me down. Our 392 slows down but our Hellcat does not as much. No gurgle or pop as well.

Flashing the PCM with an update seems to have messed things up. Perhaps a tech can come up with an answer for you

What exactly was the flash for and did they give you a copy of it?

So you downshift and it holds the RPM and speed with your foot off the gas? It does that at 3/4/5K RPM? That's crazy.

Try unhooking the battery for a while to reset it

It doesn't hold it completely, but the RPMs drop very slowly. I also noticed that when I leave my foot off the gas while driving, instant consumption doesn't show 0, but something like 2L/100 (115MPG).

I'll try to make a video and see if unplugging helps !

I'm going to be Captain obvious here and say... That is heart breaking. I hope the dealer can do something about it.

As an owner of a Challenger M6 I will be following this with great interest. The engine MUST brake the car.... or what is the point of a standard transmission?
