Finally made it to the track. Playing around before races I hit 166 mph. No clocks or distance recorded, just the computer in the car. It was a trip to say the least. The moon roof roared like a lion. LOL My son brought it up to 171 mph.
    My track times were not so good. I was a bit put off by them. Reaction time, .50, 0-60 4.1, 0-100 8.3, 1/8 mile 7.5 @ 96 mph, 1/4 mile 12 @ 121.
I need to get off faster at the light and tromp on it more. I am too easy on it I think. Trying not to spin the tires is a challenge.
But all things considered, this old lady loves playing ball with her Cat. LOL
Also won a trophy at a car show a couple of months back. Actually won 2. and 2 door prizes. LOL The Mopar 12 received one too. :0)
So, there ya have the update on the Cat.
    Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

That's great. I have never been to a track myself and have been wanting to go too just to see how my cat and I would do.
Do you have any pictures for us?
And Happy Thanksgiving to you too. :)

if you have a M6 a 12.0 1/4 isnt bad at all......121mph doesnt seem right though...im always 125-127 mph no matter what i do

ive gone to the track 3x's now and always get a 1-2 12.0's

if its your first time at the track and you have a M6 then you've done better than any/most M6's ive seen....ive seen a guy get 14's

if youve got stock tires i think your also doing well with a 12.0

my 1st time at a track with nitto's not knowning how to do a burnout or what i was doing my best was 11.8

Was first time on this track and slowed down before I got to the win line. All my fault. I will be going back after the Xmas rush.
Tires are summers from factory. Trying to get some life out of them before burning them off. LOL
I am missing something. What is an M6? I have a Hellcat Charger.
I will have to get my sons tickets to see what he did. I do know he got an 11 out of her, but know nothing more than that.
Huggy, I do not need to do burn out yet. LOL To keep this Cat from spinning at takeoff is my goal. I need some sticky tires.
I will keep a post up here when I progress.
    Thanks for the feed back.

That's not bad times at all for a newbie ! Try leaving in 2nd gear . You'll have less traction issues. These cars naturally pull hard on the topside of the track. The best way to lower your E.T. is working on getting off the line. Mid- 11's is very doable on stock tires with some practice .
Best advise is keep having FUN the rest will fall into place !!

Thanks Jack. I was talking to my son about the second gear start. Haven't done it yet though.
The track is closed until after Xmas to us. We will be going when they reopen.
    Happy Thanksgiving all.

i think P0's can still use some heat for a good launch......12.0 is good for stock tires and 1st time at the track.....getting DR's is something you need to do....then you need to learn how to do a burnout....took me 3x's at the track to get it close to good......with nitto's i found too much burnout is also bad....need to get the sweat spot and i found 5 seconds and running the car up to about 60mph as quickly as you can to work well

M6 is a manual and since you have a Charger you have a A8

i recommend DR's and practice 0-60 on the street to get a feel of how to launch...i have tried launching in 2nd with DR's and my times were worse...i saw no advantage
