Does anyone know the date for March allocations and build confirmations? I thought it was in the second week

Chrysler phone call to dealers was today. I think allocations were also today or tomorrow. I'm no expert, but this is what my dealer told me today.

I heard from another dealership that Dodge has a lot of Hellcats built and sitting at factory*. Maybe why no Hellcat builds this month*. Restarting April*. I called around because I heard rumors of 8000 allocation still to be released*.

*Don't quote me please - It's only dealer provided info. And 8000 is a rumor. I'm hoping that the people on this forum that know more details than I can confirm this or give us facts. Maybe tons of plum crazy cats will be on the dealer lots this summer!

That's probably true. That's why I was able to get my cat for $2000 under msrp. More discounts to come if you find one sitting on dealers lots for a while.

I placed my order back on 2/11 and gave a deposit to my dealer. To date, my VON still is not showing up in the system. Please pardon my ignorance, (this is the first car I've ever ordered) but if there are a ton of Hellcats sitting, will they just fill my order with one of those? I personally don't care how I get one as long as I get one.

Not sure how ordering a car works . I think they would build a new one the way you ordered it even if they have one sitting at the factory already built. Or maybe they don't have one exactly as you ordered

Anyone else hear of cats sitting around at the factory? Cats not being built for this month?

No VON means your dealer does not have an allocation in the next couple of months. They should be able to place the order and give you the paperwork with the VON within a month or two of their allocation and build date. I would shop around for a dealer that has an earlier allocation.

Both claims are false. The way it's going, March could end up being a record month for Hellcat production...

Not sure I totally understand. I actually have a VON (HC120056), it's just not showing up in the system yet. Of course my dealer has assured me that it is a good order and will be "picked up" very soon....whatever that means.

That is different. You said you did not have a VON. If you have a Von it will be picked up when your dealers allocation is scheduled for build. That is when it moves to D status. Picked up means it is on the actual build schedule. What you have now is a spot in the future build schedule. I thought you may have said the dealer told you a June build. If that is correct you are scheduled to be "picked up" in the build system in May or June. Most likely June. Call sry and ask your status. You should be BG.

Thank you for your patience, as I'm still very new and trying to learn what all of this stuff means. That's my bad in the way I stated it in my original post. I called SRT last weekend and gave them the VON and they had nothing in their system. Here is a copy of my order that I was sent....

No problems. Glad I can try to help. Your paperwork looks the same as mine. You now need to wait for your Dealer's spot in the build process. Dodge meets with them monthly and updates them on the build schedule. There would be a very slight chance your order can be moved up to D status before the the date the dealer was given. The dealer will hear about that in their monthly meetings with dodge. Now for the bad news. If the dealer has a hellcat on their lot unsold for a period of time dodge can push back your scheduled build. Hang in there. My scheduled build was for March. I will let you know if my order moves forward. Once it is in D status talk to RS on this site and he can track and help you. RS does a great job for all of us.
