But for the life of me i can't figure out how to get a smooth start on uphill inclines in the manual. I have driven manual for years but in this car as soonas the clutch starts to grab the rpms nose dive and the car bogs. I know the clutch needs to be grabby to hold the power but just haven't found a good way to operate it yet.

Glad I'm not the only one. I hate hills or inclines and will find alternate route if I can. I've gotten better but they still make me nervous.

I do better with the hill assist on. Sorry I can't be more help but I come from good Ole flat South Texas and didn't have to worry about hills until we went to Georgia in June and then South Carolina in August. Seems like they wanted to put every red light in Georgia at the top of a hill. Charleston so far hasn't been to bad.

I have no issue, how many miles are on your car. After 2500 miles a smooth start is not a challenge.

I have 1800 miles on my HC and I love manual trans have owned many High HP vehicle with manuals.

I too am having that issue but on flat ground......just normal driving at a stop light I cant get a smooth take off. I either rev the hell out of it or I bog it to almost dying. once I get it going things are fine its just the normal take off.

I just figured it was the supercharger..................my first supercharged vehicle.

Definitely not the supercharger. Having had a gt500 and ctsv neither did those. Seems dodge used a strong clutch. Good for durability. Annoying for traffic lol

Try increasing the throttle as you're letting the clutch out. They are touchy, I've been driving stick off and on for 55 yrs. and still snub it now and then. My wife hadn't drove a stick for 12 yrs. and she did better than me her first try.

Mine did that at first but I broke in the clutch & motor in fast. I live in Tx and bought the car in South Carolina and I drove it home some 1,100 miles back and it's fine now.

If you all have driven standard vehicles before I'd get another experienced stick driver to test drive it and if it still does it take it to the dealership and have it looked at maybe it's a clutch issue.

Here in the hills of Tn you get used to giving the cat a little more gas on the hill start offs. It has taken some getting used to for sure.

At the moment the clutch starts to engage, you need to be adding throttle pretty quickly. I told my 78 year old Dad, "Drive it like your mad at it!" LOL
