I have a challenger hellcat that ordered last Oct built this week and estimated to arrive o/a 1Jun. Does any one know if the military bonus cash will apply?. I see some dealers are offering 500-1000 of msrp.

If it is available when you purchase the car, you should get it IMHO. This discount is coming from FCA and comes off sticker, not out of the dealer's profit/pocket, right? So why should the dealer deprive a service member of this discount and pocket that, as well?

I am just checking to see if any one has had luck with it. Back in Oct due to limited availability of HC it was a no go. Now due to end of production year and depreciation associated; I would think it should be supported.

I am retired Air Force and these discounts usually don't pertain to the SRT vehicles. This from a Dodge site and it is a year or two old. I don't think it has changed. A Hellcat is a SRT Model.

"Whether you’re Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard or National Guard, from now through the rest of 2014, veteran and active service men and women will receive a $500 cash allowance to be applied toward any new 2012 or 2013 Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Fiat vehicle at any participating dealer (excluding Viper and SRT models)."

Note the '+' on the website. Does not apply to any SRT vehicles

I chatted with SRT and they thought it could be a point of negotiation with dealer for whatever, mudflaps, oil changes or whatever. Doesn't hurt to try especially after waiting this long.

Personally, I think the dealer if you pushed would honor a military discount, on SRT models. As the dealer would not want to look anti-military in anyway ,it would be a PR nightmare for the dealership locally. I am even surprised that SRT excludes military discounts, as it kind of says " Hey thank you for your service, but you can't have a SRT model(with the discount)".

My dealer denied it, they also denied the USAA discount but others have had some luck in getting the USAA rebate.

I had a scumbag dealer, your experiences may very.

The $500 cash bonus excludes SRT vehicles because that money is used for the SRT Track Experience.

Every person gets a Track Experience, military or non-military when they buy a SRT vehicle. That is a poor excuse.Tell Dodge that my bad kidney and bad knees should be a reason veterans get a discount no matter what the cost of the vehicle is, SRT Track Experience or not. Because of the military the CEO of Dodge is not speaking Russian, Japanese, German, or Arabic!

Agreed. I didn't realize FCA excluded the SRTs. If you're going to offer it, why not on the SRTs? Would FCA prefer vets only buy the cheaper cars?

I have been actively searching for a Hellcat the past 2 days and looking to see what deals could be had. So far I have noticed that the $1000 USAA offer can be used on the SRT's including the Hellcat. It works on the SRT premium but for some reason doesn't work on the Hellcat when I actually build it through the car buying program. It could be that I'm on the West Coast.
