Hi, I'm in the process of installing the Mirrortap in my 16 Challenger Hellcat but the wiring videos and posts I've seen in other threads don't seem to match what I have. I have read of a pink and black wire but I can't seem to locate a pink wire in the back of the mirror connection. There is a pink wire connection in the front of the mirror. Maybe this is the place I need to tap? I don't have access to a Voltmeter right now or I would go that route. Was hoping someone could help me out while I had the mirror trim off. I got it working. It's the front connection on the mirror. Pink and black. Hope this helps someone else.

How'd you pop the cover off?

    Also what are you mounting?

The cover came off surprisingly easy. I bought a set of plastic trim tools off Amazon Amazon.com: Panel Removal Tool - 7 pcs Premium Auto Trim Upholstery Removal Kit Door Trim Molding Dash Panel Car Radio Door Clip Panel Auto Body Repair Window Molding Tools Fastener Remover 100% Satisfaction Guarantee: Automotive
and inserted where the arrow is below in the pic. There are clips on each side where the arrow is. I did each side and the bottom cover piece fell off. I've got a Escort 9500IX but I'm thinking about upgrading to the Max 360.

Welcome (in case I haven't already said so)

Thank you for the post/pictures/explanation, it'll come in handy when I get ready to mount a camera.

    ;)

Could you post a picture of the installed wiretap (show how it exits)?

This is what I used to hook up my escort 9500ix on my 2016 Challenger Hellcat.

At 4:28 he shows the two wires to tap into in the lower right hand corner, side by side.

The pinkish (power) in the lower right hand corner and black (ground) next to it on the left.

I saw that as well but his connections are different than mine on the back. I had to use my front connections.
