I was notified that my HC would be arriving in the next few weeks. Then I learn that the dealer has my exact car, VIN and everything published in Autotrader for sale. I'm not concerned that they will sell it to someone else, but what a misleading practice. Has anyone else experienced this?

Some dealers have services that "push" all their inventory out to various websites. If all their cars go to Autotrader, prob. nothing to be worried about (tho I'd still contact them about it). If just a select few cars in their inventory are out there, then they did it on purpose & you might be headed for trouble (i.e. a sleazy dealer ADM bidding game).

    they all do this

its how they get leads for future orders

most of the leads are bogus.....requiring someone to contact 50 leads to find 3-4 real ones

Its a common practice, but still deceptive. The car is being represented as being for sale when it never was.

Mine showed up on some web site search engines ( and dealer inventory page as in transit) once the window sticker has been made.

I was worried because I thought somebody would get in touch with the dealer and offer more money for my car. However was not the case.

THE GOOD NEWS IS....... YOUR CAR IS COMING TO YOU VERY VERY SOON.:)
