Calendar hates me for that day :( probably just as well though, I think I've pushed my luck more than far enough with this drive shaft.. and there's just no way I could park it in the show area and not play LOL

    Keep us posted!

Perfect weather yesterday and a slight tailwind. Conditions were PERFECT for a record setting run or two.

Too bad my clutch is dead from the five runs I made last week....

Smelt it on the way there in first leaving a couple sets of lights and when floored in fourth in stinks up the car bad and slips. Not too mention the smell out the exhaust of burnt clutch and my rear bumper is covered in clutch dust.

So I DIDNT MAKE ANY RUNS and just parked in the car show area :(
Very bummed , I feel deceived about the capabilities of these cars.

Warranty book says 1yr 20,000kms warranty on clutch discs "IF DEFECTIVE" I'm told mine was not cause I put 13k on car??
Then why offer warranty until 20k my car failed before that so should be warranty issue??!!
    $2300+ 13% tax+ labour for a new OE replacement.

The first barn find hellcat may be sitting in my garage if they don't warranty my clutch....
    Disappointment would be an understatement.

Watched Official video after Official video of these cars being beat mercilessly while I waited for my car and they "seemed" to hold up.
Take it too the track, put on drag radials and runs 10's with a warranty they said.....

No mention it could twist the driveshaft or eat your clutch after only a couple passes.

I won't buy a new clutch every spring so I can make a couple passes at the strip, that's ridiculous .

6spd guys be warned..... Drag radials and trying to launch car will eat clutch after just a few passes. My best 60' is 1.90
The clutches are limiting these cars, power is there but it can't transfer the torque.

There's going to have to be an aftermarket clutch sooner than later. I'm not surprised that the Dog is not warranting track use (After all, it's not like they marketed this thing as the Weekend Warrior"), but this was on the street right?... "It just started to stink at the lights as I was coming over here for an oil change! WTF?..."

Oh man that sux! Start the process of chasing them for warranty on it and get on the phone with SRT.

I thought the M6 was out of the viper..... is the clutch completely different from the viper clutch? Should be many upgrade options for the Viper???

Different bellhousing :( . Problem is Viper weights 1500lbs less... The weight is the death of these clutches, trying to move it quickly does them in. Needs better material on discs and higher spring clamping force to get decent times at track. Car has more than enough power....
Too be clear my clutch still works ok under easy acceleration but under hard it just stinks the car up. In fourth at wot it slips...
    :(

Yes Dances it started this nonsense while driving to Cayauga for Mopar day. Would smell the occasional light leaving in 1st and then when I put the power down in fourth it filled the car with stench of burnt clutch and you could hear it slipping with the exhaust note..
Now the cars exhaust smells at idle of burnt clutch and the rear bumper is getting covered in clutch dust

Sorry to hear this...but, yes, as I found out myself, these clutches just dont hold up to any aggressive driving..
