theres a system on another forum jeep garage that say if you pay 50 bucks you can get up to date info even with a VON. Has anyone ever heard of that?

I do too. My dealer has been able to give me updates the entire time, but my VIN came pretty quickly so that probably helped.

No benefit to that because a Von just means that they have the order. Until there's a vin number and until the car passes D1 status , there is nothing online to look at. Save your money. The car gets a Von as soon as it goes D status which only means that it's a good accepted order, then it sits at that status for a week or longer until it goes D1 status, then it sits in D1 status until they get ready to build it , whenever that may be, 1-4 weeks , then it jumps thru all of the framing, paint, trim , etc. in one or two days. Then the vots just gives you estimated shipping dates, which by the way , are listed at the top of the order the day the car goes D1. So, in other words, once your car goes D1 you will have the same info that you will get by looking at the VOTS , with the same accuracy, both being off a couple of days usually.

Yeah that other site should be helping members for free instead of charging members $50 or whatever to give them just tracking info. Sounds fishy to me. Just my 0.02 cents
