Moving. House is basically empty. Only thing left is garage. So it's time to awaken my sleeping '66 Dodge Coronet. My car since around 89 and basically stored since 1995. Time capsule. 2nd owner and body has only 45k on it. Original 318 car. Now 383, 727 manual auto, super stock springs, 4.10s, etc

    ----

Time to get the Coronet ready to move

Sat for 4 years. Battery was still at 11.7 volts! And it's like 7 years old. Optima red top.

Let it sit over night on charge and then hooked the Cummins to it.

Turned it over awhile until it had oil pressure. Flipped on fuel switch and it fired right up. That gas is 4 years old and had fuel stabilizer in it.

Header tube is cracked near exhaust port on cylinder head.

Gotta love the sound of original Flowmaster mufflers from 1989 haha

Enough gas floating around in the air to knock out an elephant while it cleaned itself out and got warm. No choke either.

Someday I'll get back to it. Interior needs to be gutted. I like it as it is. Original paint with primer showing through. This is a pic from when I parked it in the garage in like 08

Cool. I have a 65 coronet I use for Wednesday night drags. Also a 65 satellite 426 street wedge 4-speed car, plus a 41 willys straight front axle gasser with a 392 blown hemi. I think that qualifies me as a mopar guy, yet stuck in VonHell since 9/9/14 10:23am

    Nice collection!

This is just my old street/bracket car I built in my 20's. I am so glad I kept it. Since it's been in storage so long untouched, it's like stepping back in time when I get in it and start it up.
