I searched this site and didn't find anything about the issue I'm having:

When at home rinsing my cat off with a water hose or a power washing wand my park lights & rear brake lights come on as if I used my remote to unlock or lock my doors. The lights turn off after a short period of time. And when taking it to the local do it yourself car wash while using the power spray gun near my door handles it will unlock my doors.

While driving her in the rain I haven't had any issue's and I was just curious if anyone else has had or having this issue too.

    Thanks,
    Angel

Used to happen to me all the time, what I do is put the key fob far from the car, that's what causes it. It's the keyless entry. Now it doesn't happen.

Yup it's the sensors under the door handles that triggers the unlock hence the lights. I second tmc with removing the fob to a distance

Same issue here. Seems like the water mist is enough to trigger the sensor under the door handle

My 2 cents? I never wash my car with water under pressure, and definitely would not recommend pointing high pressure water at electronic components; i.e. the door lock.

HAHAHAHAHA, I feel so stupid. I do have the keys in my pocket when washing her. Well I'm glad it's not an electrical problem.:) Thanks guys!

Discovered the same thing myself first time with the hose when hand washing around the door handle. Was like, WTF? why are the lights flashing at me...

    I've seen that before.
I've also seen the corrosion from using a pressure washer long term on countless cars and motorcycles that I've worked on through the years. Water and soap being pushed under pressure from the into switches, relays, driveline and suspension components
    My 2 cents, YMMV.
