Actually this is intentional...installing the ATI lower pulley and crank pin kit along with a PCM loaded with a tune from Hemituner Performance....that Facia and related oil/water coolers have been one biotch to remove..

Why the cut off wheel and long die grinder?
Or were those added for effect?
How bad is it compared to previous SRT8's?

I am not sure what the guy helping me with the install used the grinder and cutoff wheel for. I am working 12hr days (I am a CPA and you know what time of year it is) so he is doing most of the work when I am not there. Removing the fascia and related cooling equipment took about 3 hrs. When we removed the front fascia and radiator on my 2013 SRT8 it took about 30 minutes.

Thanks. The guy helping me is my dealer's shop foreman and an SRT (Viper) tech. He is actually doing the work at my dealer because we are also changing out the front control arms with ones that will adjust for the KW lowering kit. He will need to align it so we didn't use my garage and lift for convenience.

There is one spot that needs to be slightly ground for the ATI to fit, make sure he doesn't grind too much off, I have herd of one guy doing that, Going to be some fun in KY shortly..

Mike already did the grinding so too late to pass that info on. He a knowledgeable tech so I am sure he didn't over due it.

Only issue he had during the install was a bolt that touched the pulley. He had the 6 pulley bolts tightened down before he realized it was touching a bolt on the engine. He said the instructions didn't mention the bolt and he had wondered why there was an extra bolt in the package. He quickly figured out where it went...

Had to replace the 6 bolts in the pulley as Mike said they were a one time use or at least he recommended using once.

The project should be finished by tomorrow...just in time for the sunny last few days to turn to rain..:(
