Can someone explain why a $70K car doesn't have a locking mechanism to prevent theft and vandalism? Please?

Is there a more elegant way?

Maybe they didn't expect us to actually park it anywhere?? I thought the same thing. I think that fancy gas cap means an insecure one.

How many of us have wheel locks on the wheels? Both are necessary!!!!

Agree with the fuel cap, the wheel locks and the point that FCA probably never expected the cats to be parked anywhere but under watchful eye. Having said that, a solid insurance policy could help even though they have warts to work through...

Must be a Challenger thing...Charger has remote open button for fuel door.

Up graded to full set of 20 locking lugs in black to match the wheels

    Challenger fuel door is retro....

I dont leave mine anywhere that I'd need to be too concerned about that anyway.

I'd be more concerned the some jackwagon would dump something down the filler neck. The typical "I want to make this guy's life miserable because he (or she) has something nice and I don't" attitude.

With gas as cheap as it is now I would not expect any theft.

I haven't heard of gas theft in a LONG time. And if I lived someplace where wheel theft was a big concern, I'd move or skip the Hellcat and buy a Kia.
