We went to our 1/8 mile track on opening day today. I know I said I'd just watch with only 1200 miles but as we came in there was a small local mustang club about 20 modern makes lined up. They saw the cat and looked away like no big deal. We parked about 10 cars down the only challenger between the Chevy's and Ford's. A couple guys from the club walked over to us and said they want to race their fastest car against me. I tried to reason with them telling them it's not broken in and I never raced before. They understood not. Anyway I decided I'd get in line and just drive not any harder then I have been. No launch control, no red line just paddle shift you know normal Cat stuff. Ate the first first two mustang's without a burp. I parked and waited about half hour. Decided to do one more and of course they where waiting and put their bad boy up next to me. I said ok I'll paddle shift at 5000rpm little brake gas to start. He gat the jump on me then the Cat hit 3 and I didn't see no more mustang.

Yes but the friend of my friend who videoed it is on his way home to Ohio so it might take some time.

TNCHARGER must be blind or having vision problems. I was the first to congratulate MICHAELNAPOLITANO on his kills.

That's pretty harsh, lumping Boduke in with Crazy. Granted, Boduke seems to enjoy stirring the pot a little bit, strutting his stuff, with regard to having a fairly quick Camaro, but at least he gets out on a track and gives it a good go. Crazy, on the other hand, is just plain crazy. I have to admit though, his comparison to another forum member in a different thread as Thurston Howell III had me laughing out loud! I was in tears with that one.
Nice job to the original poster on the little Mustangs, though!

Today was a free day so the little booth at the end of the track where you pick-up your slip was closed. The guys I was with said it was 72, 75,77 but I don't know if that's seconds or mph. This was the first time I ever been at a track never mind driving on one. The guys from the mustang club said their fastest car was 629hp. I beat it and I saw he had slicks which he smoked up before we started where I barely gat the water off mine. So I don't know if that's good or bad or we both sucked at driving.

My 1/8th mile runs are between 7.0 and 7.25 at 100 and 102 mph

The thing is the guys I was with where busy with their own cars. One of them didn't even see me once. The only one that knows is the friend of my friend who videoed all of us who lives in Ohio. I gave him my phone number to send me them. I find it hard to believe I did 7.2 on summer tires and not ever driving before but I may have pushed it a little harder against that last mustang then I thought. Hopefully I'll get the results someday

Either way good job out there. Way to represent. I cringe at YouTube videos of terrible drivers making our cars look bad haha. Drives me crazy when i see people with the all seasons tires doing burnouts too before they race. That actually makes those tires worse. Makes them greasy. They stick better as is. Glad you had fun out there. You'll be buying race tires before you know it
