Just fired this off... hope it does something

Dear Mr.Marchionne, Mr. Kuniskis and Mr. Gilles,
I know you are busy men, I understand and can appreciate that. I will try to get to the point and not bloviate.

I love Dodge... I want to see the brand succeed.

Like many, I was floored when the Hellcat released. I don't make a ton of money, in fact my wife and I are an average median household in terms of income. That being said, I began saving every single penny from the first time I laid eyes on the Hellcat. I traded in my 2014 SRT satin vapor and placed my order for my Hellcat in early October. I have since paid off all of my debt (minus the big ones of course) so that I could get my hellcat. That is the kind of passion the car inspires in not just me, but legions of mopar enthusiast who have also ordered the Hellcat.

I love Dodge. I want to see the brand succeed.

I want to rub it in the face of all my Ford and GM friends. But alas, here I am almost 5 months later with not even so much as a Vin #. My SRT is gone.. long traded in, my deposit put down, but yet I have no inkling of when my Hellcat will get to me. At this point, I am wondering if I will even have a car to enjoy for the summer... and that is not an exaggeration.

I love Dodge.. I want to see the brand succeed.

But you now have people (in large numbers) canceling orders and going to competitors. You have high profile people like Lisa Wall, editor of modern Mopar canceling her order because she is fed up. You have a 25 page (and growing) forum post @ Hellcat VONs - Customer Sold Order List | Page 25 | SRT Hellcat Forum of people with vons but no vins. Many of these people, including me ordered in September and October.

I love Dodge.. I want to see the brand succeed.

But yet stock orders are being fulfilled over SOLD orders. How can this be? Surely this is a mistake... but yet its not. I keep seeing a bunch of greedy dealers getting stock orders filled so they can set their car out there with 10, 15, 20k mark ups. Orders are going through the system with no names, or fake names perpetuated by those greedy dealers. But surely this is a mistake. Surely, lessons learned from the viper and greedy dealers marking them up would sway FCA to police this? Sadly it seems, lessons learned have been forgotten. It politics as usual with big dealers getting their stock orders to put big mark ups on, while the rest of us who have had money sitting at dealers for 6 months now sit here deflated and growing restless. The allocation system is an utter joke! It simplyperpetuates the problem by ignoring sold orders and building orders for dealers that put them on the floor with big markups. I had high hopes that the brand understood what a big deal customer loyalty was, and that it rewarded it with better customer service than it has in the past. My hopes are getting quickly dashed.

I love Dodge.. i want to see the brand succeed.

Yet, you have dealers out there doing the right thing, charging MSRP and you are, excuse my french, screwing them over and hurting their reputations. Why is it that order banks are still open when you can't even get cars out to the rest of us who have been waiting six months? Why has there been little to no communication to those customers who have been patiently waiting, except a letter about allotments (see above)? Why does it seem like sometimes you cant get out of your own way.

I love the brand.. I want to see the Dodge brand succeed
    .
    But even I have limits.
    Thanks for listening.

i have been there you should get a call from Tim make sure you have the questions writen down as to not forget any thing.
I talked to tim after my email, nice guy, but he is going to follow the allocation process.
ask him to lower the allocation for the month to the dealers and fill the remaining old orders then he is still following his allocation program.

Yes, he got back to me and wants to talk to me. I have your guys back. But even bigger.. as I hope my bold headings eluded too, I want the brand to succeed. This car should be out there to the people who ordered it.. not sitting somewhere being marked up. Dealers need to realize its a halo car. It generates interest and will get people in the showroom to buy (most likely) RTs, Scat packs and SRT 392s.
