So I brought 7 quarts of Amsoil signature 0w40 with the Mopar oil filter and told my service manager and the service advisor that cooling oil needs to be changed too.

It took 1hr or so to make sure all oil was dropped out.

Checked the 7th bottle they gave back to me and it looks like 6.2 quarts is all that is needed roughly.

Drove my baby home and man the supercharger whine seems more noticeable and proper and engine runs super smooth. It feels like a new ride and hitting the throttle and lessening it felt more smoother than before.

So far I'm happy, it's like changing out my super bee's dealership oil to the API licensed Royal Purple and nothing chugs slow nor drags anymore.

Funny the service manager asked me how many miles, I said a bit over 1800 and she asked why? I said for breaking in and she said there's no breaking in oil. I was like uh oh ok.

HCDC Service Managers nowadays are getting to be less car person and more business school person. In a nutshell they don't know Jack about a car unless it went in via osmosis from hearing others around them.

    Glad your happy.

Seriously? Let me get this straight, the OEM oil was making your car chug and not run smooth? First I have heard of that from anyone. You changed the oil and it ran better? Good to know 6.2 quarts does the job.

Explain the whole "cooling oil" thing for those of us that don't have superchargers? I was not aware that a supercharger had its own separate lubrication? Thought it was a self contained system? Someone care to educate me?

I am familiar with engine oil coolers but is that what he is referring to?

He is just saying in general the SC sounds louder. The oil cooler is for the engine, not the SC as that is a self contained system.
