For some reason I can't get the video from tonight to upload. It keeps timing out. I'm able to get the one from this morning to upload though. If you listen to the video that BlackbirdWS6 posted, you will see that mine sounds like the one listed as having a bad bearing. You can hear the heterodyne a bit too.

Honestly doesn't sound that bad to me, but that is just my "opinion"

The cell phone video does it no justice. Sounds a lot worse in person. It was stone quiet 2 days ago, too.

I tried to get an "in car" recording while driving, but my phone doesn't pick it up at all.

    Edit:
I listened to the video I mentioned. It sounds like mine is between the white and b5, but closer to the way the b5 sounds. I'm sure it can get worse... But I dont want to wait until it's dead on the side of the road. If that makes sense.

    How many miles?

If you look in the "build" area, Maxboost posted a short clip of his and it sounds the same. Over 11,000 miles and no issues so far.

    Just under 8k.

I hear what you are saying... But it's like a switch was thrown. The big problem is, regardless of any noise right now, the other day it was rattling really bad and completely lost power while driving.

I'll take a look at the thread you mentioned.

Okay, I'm not saying there's aliens... But there's aliens. LOL

I make the joke because mine does sound like his, only his doesn't heterodyne. That said, his has more displacement and a CAI. Mine shouldn't sound like that and there shouldn't be a heterodyne. That's also a new sound that I never heard be for the other night.

I'm going to drop it at the dealer in the next couple of days. I'll let you know if they think I'm crazy or not.

Sounds like you need a replacement.

Well my dealership agrees that it's making noise they said it's louder than a new one. However they said it's not as loud as one with almost double the miles on it as mine does. The dealer said without a check engine light or some kind of error codes there's not much that they can do.

They recommended that I open a case with the Fiat Chrysler, saying I may be able to get it replaced under warrant, but they can't.

I'm gonna drive it until it comes apart, then tow it in.

you need a different dealer besides one that thinks warranty issues only revolve around error codes and check engine lights.

In thinking about taking it to another dealer. I might actually call FCA first. Expose this crap service department.

The problem is in the last 2 years I brought them a Challenger with an electrical issue every time it rained, the charger that had electrical issues everytime it rained, a jeep that overheated after 20 minutes of driving and a Dodge Dart that one in a limp mode with only 1200 miles on it and every single time they said they couldn't duplicate the problem or that there was nothing wrong with it and the vehicle is behaving normally.

This dealership is awesome as far as sales and finance goes but I'm looking for a way to burn their fing service department cuz they suck.

Call SRT and start a case #. They can't close it until the issue is resolved.
