Had a business dinner Thursday night and drove home late (8:45 PM). Traffic was light. Came up to an intersection with a green light and a car sitting in the middle lane stopped dead for no reason. Probably dicking around on their cell phone and didn't notice the light had turned green.

Guy opposite was turning left and the woman behind him honked. So I guess he just went and didn't notice me. I was looking at the ******* moron stopped and I honked too then noticed the other driver turning left in front of me but no time to do anything.

    Bad night for me.

    Car is toast.

I'm hoping it's totaled as I have full replacement insurance and I don't think it would ever be the same....

Should find out early next week for sure but my guess is it's totaled. All four airbags up front deployed.

I have a dashcam vid of the collision but I won't post it online until I settle with my insurance company.

If anyone cares to see it send me a PM and I will send you a link to the vid provided you promise not to repost it anywhere else.

I was alone in my car and sustained no injuries. The other driver was also alone and sustained no injuries. He was driving a 2002 Oldsmobile so no great loss there.

I showed great forebearance; I just asked him if he was OK and he said yes then I didn't speak to him after that. No yelling or anything. I'm a big guy and he looked scared as ****. LOL. But really I can iunderstand why he pulled out given the circumstances.

Cops did not even need a statement from me due to his honesty and the independent witness that stuck around even though it was pouring rain. So I didn't even need the dashcam vid.

I have a 2014 300C AWD as a rental until I get my new car.

I'm thinking 2016 SRT 392 in Granite Crystal with Sepia interior, blacked out roof and all other options except red seatbelts.

Glas to hear no-one was hurt seriously.

Sucks for your car, but it can and should be replaced. Looks like a write off to me as well.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Hopefully I get some news from the insurance adjuster tomorrow.

No Hellcat for me. They are $80k here and I will get my SRT 392 for under $60k. With our 13% tax that's almost a $23k difference. I could easily afford it, but I'm happy with a 392.

The 392 is plenty of smiles for daily driving IMO. Glad everyone was OK and good on you for keeping things civil. I can only imagine how frustrated you were. Hope you get your replacement soon.

Man I have been through the accident ordeal and I can defo feel your pain, my car got repaired (damage was not as extensive as yours) and feels as good as new, but looking at the state of your car, it is defo going to be write off with all the air bags deployed etc. Good luck with the replacement and keep up posted. :)

Wow... that could have been a lot worse... no one hurt and you can walk away from something like this... is a positive! Accentuate the Positive! Stinks though with the rest you have to deal with. Good Luck with it.;)

Sorry to hear about your car. The new build sounds great though, love the look of the Granite/Sepia combo.
