anybody know how to get in on night mode??? every car I have ever owned automatically would change the screen to night mode. Mine just stays as it is during the day, bright and kinda distracting at night pretty much went through all the settings, apps, etc. If you mess with the interior light dial it will change it but then all the icons are very dim. Any ideas?

For the Charger, thumb wheel switches on left side dash

Or are you talking about the auto change between day time/night time. If so, then its under the settings screen

Yep, use the thumbwheel switch to dim the panel lights. If it's turned all the way up, the screen will stay in "daylight" mode.

Yea im talking about the auto change between night and day. i couldn't find it in settings. is it set by time or by sensing light and dark. all other vehicles i've ever had would change automatically as soon as the auto headlights would go on.

Trust me, just turn your panel light dimmer wheel down a notch or two and the screen will darken if the headlights are turned on. There's no other setting to bother with. When you turn the headlights off the screen will go back to the daytime bright.

But he's not asking about just making the screen dimmer or brighter, he's talking about the "theme" change between day and night. I'm not home now, but it is under setting, display or something like that. There is a option for day time, night time, auto. Not sure if it does it by time or by light, I would assume it does it by light sensitivity just like the headlights.

As stated above is correct but if you have your wheel adjustment rolled all the way up it will stay in the brighter mode.

Jim M is right to turn it one click down will allow the auto dimmer to start functioning.

Mine was delivered all the way up and took me a bit to figure out why at night it would not go to the night mode.

Same here Bob. Mine was preset all the way bright when delivered. It was the same on my '08 Challenger so I already knew what to do.

Aaron, I didn't look at that in the manual because I was happy with the way it works now. And it's a setting I don't need to do. For me, that setting is the answer to a question I'll never ask. But that's just me.

ok boys and gals, so it is safe to say there is no auto mode that turns it to night. You gotta manually use the dimmer wheel correct? Was just very curious about this because i rarely drive the HC at night but now by 4:45 in the afternoon its dark on the east coast so i just happened to notice that it did not automatically change. I just found it odd that every other vehicle I owned would go to night as soon as the auto headlamps came on. No worries and thanks for the help.

I believe if you turn the dimmer switch down just a little from full bright then nav goes to night mode when headlights turn on. My Charger does.
