Is $4300 for the 7 year 100,000 mile maxcare warranty the Chrysler price? Does that sound right?

That sounds about right to me. The maxcare is similar to a "bumper-to-bumper" warranty verses just the factory 5/100 powertrain.

I paid 2,250 for 7/75 max care. Bought online. Probably left a couple of hundred on the table. This info is for reference only

DONT BUY ANY EXTENDED WARRENTY THAT is NOT FACROTY BACKED.... They all have extended warrenties available....most other warrenties have a deductible and u have to fight tooth and nail to get your car fixed... Bought a 08 with 500 miles it was a diesel vehicles so I bought the warranty.... It has paid for it self but the vehicle still has problems they won't fix.... I feel I bought new because of millage... I need a brake booster dealer said it was bad... WARRENTY adjuster came to inspect and said replace master cylinder... Didn't fix and they sent vehicle home.... I think they wanted a huge lawsuit.... No brake booster means no brakes...I.E death and destruction Had to call and raise hell then take vehicle back to dealer for the to replace brake booster....ON,Y BUY FACTORY BACKED

I second this! I've had third party extended warrantys before.. It's always a fight to get anything covered. I've never had things not covered mind you.. But sometimes it's just not worth the time and fight. I'd gladly pay another $1-2000 for the factory extended for this reason.. Also most times the factory extended comes with rental or loaner coverage that is almost never Included under 3rd party plans.. And even when they are they are usually very limited in time of coverage.. I just had an employee that had to pay $900 out of pocket cause his rental coverage was only 1 week and it took them 4 weeks to replace the motor on his truck. Couple issues over 5-7 years time and this additional cost will pay for itself..

When spending 70g what's another 1500 for piece of mind?

    Edit...

One more fact.. 3rd party plans are for compatible parts at their discretion.. The factory one will always be oem parts.. That's something else to consider.. Most times this isn't important.. But in a new young and untested platform I'd rather have the backing of the millions in R&D that dodge invested in production, not a part made by someone trying to make profit margin off the actual parts.. Yes I'm that guy... When I take my vehicle in for coverage or body repairs etc.. It's OEM. I want what I paid for not a warranty or insurance company trying to save themselves cost..

Paid $1800 for 6 yr/70K. This seems high for me.

That's $25 a month. Extended warranties are typically around $15 a month but that's for a normal car. Considering the car ant it's parts is far from normal I wouldn't consider that to be overpriced.

Do not buy aftermarket warranty for the car. Not a good idea. Max care. Added care are Chrysler contracts

So, of course I saw this thread after I bought my cat. I paid $3780 for 7 yr/75,000 mile maximum care (Chrysler) warranty. Now I see I over paid. Can I cancel it and re buy through one of the online dealers?

You can cancel it. But please weigh the costs of cancellation fees and such.
