We have a member that made the swap and the car is throwing a code PO377, this is the first I've herd of one doing so, his car is 2016, are there other 2016 cars that made the change and did you buy chance disconnect the battery when doing so, trying to collect some data to see if Dodge changed the software for this or something like the disconnect did something.

John I installed the 3.09 into my 2016 Challenger about a month ago and no issues. I did disconnect the battery. My car was made in Oct 2015.

No I don't think that would matter at all.

I had 1700 miles and I did not disconnect the battery on my 16. No issues whatsoever.

If his trans has a bad output speed sensor it could cause this. If that sensor is bad it THEN gets the info from the rear wheel speed instead and that could set a code. This could be a time bomb waiting to go off in all our cars with the 3.09's.

I think this tech is very interesting all the things they are monitoring to adjust the shifts and make sure the trans is healthy.

I wanted to up date everyone on this issue, as it turns out the trans had the failure, crazy, as it happened the same time as the install of the 3.09 rear gears so it looked like something was a miss when the swap happened.
