So AFE is here, I spoke to them in regards to their no gain intake. They have a new intake with an open element which they are claiming 35+hp and 30+tq.

The gentlemen I spoke to was aware of the forum obviously and said they had to come correct with there new intake since the previous one did not perform well.

They had 1 on display that was for sale. $400. Anyone else here or visit their booth?

The first one was a disaster. If true I hope their revised design works. I'll keep an open mind until I see some real world dyno results.

image.png The first thought I had was why didn't they post it on the forum?

Found out. Maybe they can chime in or maybe they won't?

Probably, because they just removed the ice pack from the ball-beating on the last intake. They also know that our forum members test and prove mods, not just add bling. I would expect, however, that this one will produce gains. I'm sure they tested the shit out of it.

In all reality and respect it's the same now as everything else out there. Even Bwoody that everyone loves. The added thing I like is the heat sheild and they offer a rain cover. As for the clames, it is what it is, AFE is a company that has been around for a long time and they are know for intakes, at least they are trying. Better then saying fu*+ it.

People want to believe this, sooooo badly. They already lied their ass off to you. They'll make money on this one, too. People will buy them, in the hopes that switching out an air filter will offer 35hp. It didn't happen the first time, but it will now? They wont lie to you again? LOLOLOLOL.

Well as they say the biggest form of flattery is to have your design copied....lol. The only thing they didn't do was make the tube 5" ID like the bwoody.....lol same location as bwoody, they even offer a rain shield and dry charger at an ADDITIONAL cost, but still no IAT correction harness, good thing at BWoody we didn't charge extra for customers to protect their engine from water!!! As always guys here at BWoody no extra charge for the rain shield, dry charger and IAT correction harness, and still about $100 less than the AFE with all their add on options that come standard with the BWoody.

While I don't for a second believe that the AFE will give the gains they advertise, it's pretty classless for a vendor to post negatively within another vendors forum.
Let your product stand on it's own merits. Besides, it's not like yours didn't get of to a bumpy start now did it?
