First pass on this car... 700 miles on it. Good air, but running straight into a 16-18 mph headwind. Followed this up with another 10.82 @ 126.8 and finally a 10.89 @ 128.2... Best 1/8th mph was 102.2... 1 piece aluminum DS and Mickey drag radials the only "mods"... Probably would of seen a .7x without that headwind... image.jpg

That's awesome! Glad to see you finally running the times you were after all along. I bet it feels good to be in the 10s.

Nice I plan hitting GLD in a few weeks, now that I have some miles on the car. Hopefully weather holds up.

When I run the first time next year formally, if I am about where you are , it will be a good day. Nice work, StellasHC. You have to like the trap at the 1/8 and the 1/4 (128).

Nice runs Stell, let's see if you can knock someone off the quickest stock cat list in the next few weeks.

What was the temp and DA?

I ran the same with the dame tires and shaft Wed. I had 20mph head wind as well. Temps were 63-64 and DA was 1250

    I see you ran a 10.82 with a 1.58 60ft with your new a8. and a 11.6 with a 1.97 60ft with your old m6.
    so a .4 difference in the 60ft equals about .8 difference in the 1/4 ET. Therefore, 11.6 minus .8 = 10.8

The question I have so far is... Can the m6 cut a 1.58 60ft with some practice and skill, a well prepped track, sticky tires, and good air. Best I have heard was a 1.74 with bad air. (what's the best any of you have heard?)
I would think a 1.6x 60ft is managable. Therefore, putting a stock m6 with drag radials around 10.8, 10.9, 11.0 range in the best conditions.

I don't see faster shifting capability with the a8 being a factor in the first 60ft at the track. Beings neither a8 or m6 shifts in the first 60ft. Maybe the gear ratio is helping the a8 launch quicker and get a slightly better 60ft. Curious to see what kind of 60ft I can achieve and other m6's in the future, especially with cooler weather approaching.
