    Hi all,
Picked up my Challenger Hellcat Saturday. White, black wheels, red interior, 6mt. Still drooling. 1 question for you, what have you unlucky people in front license plate required States been doing? Taking the tickets? I live in a suburban area that has a police population nearly equal to the civilian one, as a result they spend a lot of time pulling people over for front plates, tint, etc... It's not worth my time to deal with them, so i'm going to put a front plate on. However drilling into that front bumper is the last thing i want to do. Are there any decent magnetic options? I stared at the front bumper for 5 minutes hoping i had somehow missed the front tow hook, but my eyesight is 20/20 :(.

There are some removable options. also some retractable options. Nothing really worth the price of admission. Challenger has more options than the Charger.

Living in Virginia, I bit the bullet and mounted the standard black plastic frame. Put in my four screws (two in painted area, two in black). After the initial shock wears off, it's OK.

    check these for ideas:

I put one of the removable mounts on my Challenger. Screws in under the lower air dam, the plate slides in and locks. That said, I keep the plate on the mount on the floor of the back seat (only thing that actually fits back there...). I haven't been pulled over for it yet (Washington requires front plates) but if I do I am hoping I can come up with some bullsh*t story about forgot to put it back on blah blah and get out of the ticket.

Not gonna drill the front bumper. Nope.

Use some good automotive two sided tape. Put on two or three layers so the plate holder does not rub on the bumper paint.

You don't think the tape will pull the paint off with it when i eventually need to remove it?

No. You cut the tape in two with fishing line or dental floss. Then you can "roll" off the part of the tape left. When you mount something with the tape, make sure the way you mount it leaves a straight shot to use the fishing line to saw the tape without getting into the tape.

What Catless said. Also I have removed lots of taped trim pieces by using heat gun and carefully pull off. Never have damaged any paint,

2 pieces of plexiglass drilled and tapped is an easy fix. ;)

Hey Bananahead, be sure to get that plate dirty and have some dried bug splatter on it, so it looks like you
    normally have it in place.

Awesome, I'll give the tape a shot first. Any recommendations on the brand or kind of automotive tape. Thanks for the help guys.

I believe mine is 3M, bought it from body shop years ago. If you have a local body shop maybe they will give you a foot or so. You only need to put it on the 4 squares where the screws would go through the holder. I believe I used 3 layers. Clean surfaces good with alcohol first.

Any of you replaced the stock pirelli tires yet? Though i'm impressed with how well the 275's hook up, i'd love to throw a 305 or 315 on the back but clearance looks like an issue.
