Hi everyone, I just placed my order for a Charger SRT 392 with everything on it except the HK sound and the engine block heater. I went 392 instead of Hellcat because I couldn't find a dealer that would sell at sticker or less for a Hellcat. I am stubborn that way. I got a nice discount on the 392, way below sticker. Besides I think the 392 will be more than fast enough for my needs. My last car was a C6 Z06. I am looking forward to the nice build quality and 8 speed auto.

I am interested in finding out how long people waited for their factory orders to be delivered. My dealer is quoting 8 to 10 weeks. I noticed "HiTech's" post wherein he mentioned that he waited only 3 weeks! Amazing.

Thank you very much for posting. That is great! Hopefully my results will be similar. When I ordered the car I thought, "No big deal, I can wait. I am used to superlative performance so what's the hurry?" Ha, that's hardly the case. The Charger got under my skin with the excellent build quality and it doesn't handle like a car that is 1300 pounds heavier than the Z06. The two test drives were hauntingly good.

I let my coworker who grew up loving small Hondas & Acuras drive my car. His response about it was "a car this large should not be able to handle like a small sports car". He was amazed.

And don't get it wrong, the Z06 is faster (stock-vs-stock, not counting Driver Mod) & can crank out faster lap times- but you can't get 4 big guys in ANY Corvette (yet alone 2).

Thanks MABBRYFL30 and Finch for the nice replies. And Finch, while it is true that the Z06 is faster and handles better, the SRT 392 has a nicer interior and the transmission is amazing. I could go on and on comparing them but they are in such different automotive categories there is really no point.

Suffice it to say, I couldn't use all the power and speed with the Z06 and likewise the Charger so I will be happy even though I am giving up some speed. I love the adjustability of the SRT 392 and the comfort I am really looking forward to this car.

Today a dealership contacted me claiming to have a Hellcat below MSRP. If that is true and it is equipped the way I want, who knows? I may go for the HC.

Congrats. Post the details on the hellcat if it is used. People on the site can help with info if it was a problem car. If it is new, congrats again and go for it

Argh! The salesman misread my inquiry. It turns out the Hellcat is new but no Technology Group and it's a Challenger not a Charger. I really like the Charger.

My mistake, I just assumed that the tech group was an option on both the Charger and the Challenger. It is not. I want the Charger, either HC or 392. But I won't pay over sticker for the HC so it looks like it will be the 392.

I ordered my SRT 392 on March 16 and told today it would arrive April 15, so about a month for the order. I was expecting 6 weeks but this is good news. I live in KC and only option was tech group for what that is worth.
