Last time I took my cat to the dealer for my second gear problem they told me nothing was wrong with it so I drove it till it got worse. Took it again now I'm getting a new tranny, clutch, flywheel and couple other things I forgot what they told me. I guess it's gonna be there for a while but I don't mind as long as the problem is fixed.

That stinks and Shame on them when a star case with data recorder could have found the concern sooner
Never understood why someone chooses not to follow their gut feeling
Then again FCA doesn't allow parts to be thrown at problems either

of course they are. FCA pulls from the standard 10% of parts inventory when the cars are built. and that leaves a measly 2-3 % for dealers to fix cars. it is that simple and if you don't quite understand it is like this>

FCA pulls parts meant for dealers to fix customer cars (mopar Parts) to use in production because they cant keep up with demand of selling them

I hope you never have engine issues because a long block would be months away,

what kind of time frame did your dealer give you for repairs?

why don't you call your advisor, ask him to speak to the parts manager and get the parts critical handling (dealer talk) your car is down and not drivable they should be able to do this for you and may have already.

I didn't have a problem with my car, I am familiar with how things are so to speak and want you to know some information. if you are aware of terminology and how parts are ordered, it will make the dealer think and know you know how things are and wont try any BS.
