The pads took about an hour and a half including the time it took to clean the wheels front and back, calipers, and wheelwells. Simple pad install. Bedded the brake pads as recommended, little to no dust on the wheels when I got back home.

Very nice! What % on tint? Still need/want to change the pads. That dust is a killer

Nice. Wish I could go as dark as you did with the tint. Maryland isn't that tint friendly. I did a serious wash and wax on the wheels when I replaced the pads. So happy with the results.

That is the legal tint, 30% I think. The day was overcast making the windows appear darker than they are. Highly recommend the Powerstop pads. Part #'s can be found in the how to thread posted by another forum member.

It is a procedure you do right after you install them. It is explained with the pads but basically 5 hard stops from 35-5, without completely coming to a stop, then 5 moderate stops from 35-15, then cooling down for like 2 miles without braking. My numbers might be off, but just read the instructions you get with the pads.

How many miles did you have on your rotors before you changed to these pads? Wondering if I should maybe get a set for my wife's SRT8 Jeep. She has 6K miles on it right now but heard the Brembo rotors warp very quickly...

I got sick of the dust at around 12K. Rotors are fine.

    Hey OP

Just so I understand, you have 30% tint. so do I understand that 70% passes through it? Yours really makes the car look great.
IF so, then I have to look into that.

Window tint darkness in Pennsylvania ( From the PA tint laws)

The percent of visible light allowed through your car windows is called VLT: Visible Light Transmission. The percentage of light allowed through your film and glass in Pennsylvania is very specific and different for sedan cars and SUV cars or vans.

    Tint darkness for sedans:
•Windshield: No tint is allowed on the windshield.
•Front Side windows: Must allow more than 70% of light in.
•Back Side windows: Must allow more than 70% of light in.
•Rear Window: Must allow more than 70% of light in.

Tint darkness for SUV and vans:
•Windshield: No tint is allowed on the windshield.
•Front Side windows: Must allow more than 70% of light in.
•Back Side windows: Any darkness can be used.
•Rear Window: Any darkness can be used.

Nope, the % of the tint is how much light can pass through, not how much it blocks. So 30% tint allows 30% of the light to pass through. Another way to think about it is the smaller the number, the darker the tint. So 70% tint is *lighter* than 30% tint.

So no issues with noise, grinding, or pedal feel?
