So are the rpm belts not living up to their hype?

    It's not a belt fault...

Gates says 594RPM for lower pulley but some of us are also changing upper pulley.. So it makes the belt either loose or too tight...

Gotta use bwoody anti slip if you are going with 2.75/2.65 with lower pulley. Or go with 582RPM

My belt slipped and found some thread near by SC.. Belt never broke.. I put 3.1 pulley and belt tensioner was good.

I drove back 300 miles on it.. But I'll take off now lol

Did you data log that run???? Your 1/8 mile looks strong.
It's only an hour from my house but I have lost interest in racing for now. I'm sure it'll change later.

Sorry, I didn't log it. Josh said just load the tune and go for kill run LOL.. I was like should I check AFR.. He said trust me.. Just load..

I think if there was no slip then I should have gotten better run out of it.

If I just went with the larger lower drive pulley instead of the upper pulley what rpm belt would be nice and tight? Also what would that be the equivalent of? A 2.85 upper?

Gates sent me some belt for testing.. I'm shocked to see that same size of belt fits differently

594HD vs 594RPM. (I've metco pulley tensioner and usher in this pic)

The green belt is tighter correct? Would make sense because they stretch and the rpm doesn't.
They sent me a new current belt 579rpm again. I'm curious if it slips like the one I took off. What's the plan on the size for your set up. That green belt is tighter then stock according to your picture.

Chad shipped 594RPM overnight so I should be getting one tomorrow. I like to have tensioner in the middle. It looks like that using Metco Tensioner/Idler pulley I can use 594RPM with 3.1 and I've Bwoody Anti-slip pulley coming on Monday so I'll use that for 2.75 setting.

According to some of the guys... Green looks OK... However, Chad said he prefers in the middle

Got RPM and took only 10 mins lol.. Getting better and better

Looks like tensioner pulley from metco makes it better on 3.1.. Anti slip pulley should fix 2.75 issue
