SC was making a weird high pitched noise at idle. At first I thought it's just my anal self, but I said what the hell I'll take it in. After a week in the shop, lots of tests and approval by FCA I got a spanking new supercharger. I guess the noise wasn't in my head lol. A shout out to Chapman Dodge in Vegas. Instead of blowing me off with "it's normal" BS, they took the time to properly diagnose it and put their best guy on it. Oh yeah, for those wondering what that little IHI supercharger costs, parts alone were over $12k. Also a big thanks to NX91NOTCH for his assistance.

What did they say was the issue? I have a similar noise at idle, almost like a lack of lubrication noise from the upper pulley.

I didn't ask specifically but I'm assuming it was a bad pulley bearing. There are a few of these out there. Sent you a PM

How many miles are on the car?
About how many times at over 4000 RPM.
Just trying to get a picture of any operation concerns.

800 miles. Broken in by the book. Just a couple of times over 4k rpm. I don't think its seen 5k yet. Just one of those bad superchargers from the factory I guess. There are a few out there. When I first got concerned was at the srt track experience. I drove several Hellcats that day and none made the noise at idle. That's a really good way to tell compare it to another Hellcat.

follows the curve, usually they break early or they live a regular life. Sorry to hear. An insurance adjustor listed out parts on the hellcat. Yeah that supercharger alone can cost 11k-12k.

I have this as well but still not sure if it expected or normal.
I can hear it from inside the cabin at traffic lights or any stop at idle
    Mine was M6 built 5/2015
Last oil change at 6K the specialized tech didn't think it was out of the ordinary

To me it sounds like a small stressed motor, but lack of oil also ran across my mind

Wish I could upload a video:(
