    Hi everyone,
I'm new to the site. Hoping to own for 2016. I wanted to purchase for 2015 but couldn't bring myself to pay over msrp. I have gotten on the order list with a dealer for next year. I've seen on some of the forums about VON hell what exactly is that. Also, I'm curious to know how current owners feel about the driving difference between manual versus automatic? I can drive both.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you are with us. VON hell is that time between the day you place your order...you get a Vehicle Order Number=VON on your POC=Price Order Confirmation...and the time you receive your VIN. Some folks have been in VON hell since last summer and are still without a VIN. Others have gotten a VIN quickly and have avoided VON hell. Good Luck for 2016!!

Find out what # you are on the dealers list for 2016 & how many cars he was allocated this year.
If your # on his list is much higher than what he has delivered & on the way for for the 2015 MY, I'd be looking elsewhere.
IMHO, VON Hell occurs when a dealer takes an order for which he can not get allocation on a timely basis or perhaps ever if he has really oversold what he has little to no chance of delivering on.

Thank you so much. I hope I'm not in von hell long. So excited about ordering. I can't wait to find out what the new colors and options are. In case I end up in that dreadful dilemma are there any survival tactics I should be aware of? I guess what I'm asking is who should I badger first.

    I'm told I'm #1 for the 2016 orders.

Oh no! I have heard a great deal of chatter about how dodge is handling dealers who have taken allocations from customers

Find out how many 2015's they are going to deliver in total & if they have any 2015's that will possibly carry over & be ahead of you.

If you are still # 1 & they have delivered one or more 2015's, then you should get a 2016.

Same here. Mine was seven months.
Delivery to dealer is tomorrow. Ten months to the day that I placed the order.
I was expecting nine months for delivery when I ordered based on the SRT GC launch years ago so all is good.

I think you should show that to your dealer. Dealer probably drive to Brampton and pick it up and deliver
