Finally got to drive my own car on the strip. I did well, but could've done better.

Here's my best run (on the left, vs E63 on right).

New performance pages. Got 0-60 down to 3.5!!!!! All Stock, tires almost no tread left.

Nicely done!!!!! Explain more how you did it so others (mainly me lol) can learn. What settings, did you use launch control, what color were your undies before and did they change color after?

Rain is a PIA. Forecast today was 0% chance of rain. Had plans to go to a cruise. Guess what... Never went and it's pouring out. Weatherman.... What good is he/she LOL.

Although this is the first time at the track, I've had a lot of practice on the street. There's a big road here in philly...if I'm first at the light I can legally practice my 0-60.

Launch control is junk...lowest rpm setting is 1,500 and wheels spin at that rate. I put it in custom with trans-track, everything else street. Start in 1st gear nets better results. I've gotten pretty good at knowing how much gas I can give to get her going w/o spin, then know when to hammer it and let the A8 do the rest.

On the street I did better power braking at about 1,000 RPM's but at the track I didn't have enough time to get that done right....that Christmas tree comes up quick.

    Charger.

    Can't wait to go back.

Also...my best 0-60 prior to the strip was 3.8 on the street. The clean flat surface made a big difference.

Oh...and my rear tires are just about done...fresh tires should help too!

Yesterday I was trying some launches with my 315 meats. Seems if I load it with a brake stand at all it wants to spin them instantly. Only chance with mine anyway is to get into it with the throttle, no brake stand or loading of the torque converter at all. At least that is the way mine plays on the street. My private place is that stone cover over asphalt we use in the Midwest, and is probably much slicker than good concrete, I will acknowledge that. I did get it to puke a 3.7 second 0-60. Also saw the remnants of my drag radials out there. Got pissed once and let it spin through a few gears...may be a couple hundred dollars out on that damn road!

FYI had all the grannies off, I like my rear brakes. Track tranny, sport traction, TC held until chime, suspension in steet.

That's good to hear, I can't beat a 3.8 on the street yet either (with stock summer tires). Can't wait to see how it launches on a good surface. I can get 4.0 all day long but that 1 run I hit 3.8 and it felt amazing.
