So I just got off the phone with my dealer. Lithia dodge in Helena Montana, they told me that you don't need an allocation. He said if you ordered the car you don't need an allocation for the ordered car. I don't understand what that means.

It means give us your money and wait for a long time while we hold your money and you get nothing for it.

Yep, you can "order" a Hellcat. ..but won't get one if the dealer has no or gets no allocation.

I told you yesterday your car is a DEALER STOCK Order. With the new rules, your place in line at the dealer, and how many the entire state of MT has received so far, it's time to get your deposit back and buy off a lot.

If they don't have an active allocation get that money back. They can't keep that money.

I would give them until the end of Feb. to provide a VIN, if they don't... demand your money back.

And dispute the charge if it was done with a credit card.

    Geeze-us, $5,000????

I refused to put more than $500 down. I don't shell out copious amounts of money until the dealer can show me my new car!

His car didn't get picked up this last week, so he's not getting a VIN anytime soon. No need to wait until the end of February. Furthermore, there are 3 people ahead of him.

They cannot keep your deposit. Time to get on the horn and request it in a stern professional manner, don't get vulgar or hasty. Inform them if it is not refunded in a week they will be reported to the local news affiliate, a better business Bureau complaint filed, you will post this on a large online auto forum, and finally, you will have your lawyer send an official letter.

If they don't follow through you need to:
    1. Follow through with all of those things.
    2. Get ready to battle, because if that didn't work then you really stepped in a big pile of dealership shit.

Go get your money back. I placed an order with a dealer that has no allocations..... and probably never will. I really don't care because I can get my money back anytime and on the chance he does get an allocation.... boom, I get a car. Otherwise I will wait until the fanfare goes away and I can get $10000 off sticker just like anything else.
