So I know how you guys (and girls) feel about information from SRT, but I have a question.

While checking on my Hellcat (which is at the railyard waiting to be unloaded and trucked across town to the dealer in Kansas City) today with SRT online, I asked them about how long the Fenkel Inspections have been taking.

He said there is NO LONGER a Fenkel inspection (or any inspection) done at the Railyard, that had only been for the recall.

Is this true, anyone have contradictory information?

I believe that is what my Hellcat is going through now. It was originally scheduled for May 22nd delivery... then May 25th delivery... now no ETA. I believe my dealer called it Fenkel repair, but explained that it was an inspection.

Anyone know how many days this takes?

Seems odd to me that a third party would inspect and perform recall work BEFORE the car even hits the dealership. Why wouldn't the dealership do the inspection and recall before delivery?

My car went through Fenkell inspection at the rail yard before it was delivered a month ago. So they were still doing them then.

Guessing Fenkel could be a full time FCA vendor for specialty work....that is all they do and are quick and efficient. Like I said, just a guess...

About how many days did it take before it was released to be delivered to the dealer?

My understanding is that Fenkell inspects for any damage that may have occurred during transit. The majority of repairs are for splitter damage and that needed repairs are done at the rail yards. I believe they have these with them and have become quite good at replacing them...lots of practice. They will also do an interior touch up if needed. As I remember, RS stated in the last day or so that some arriving cars were going through this process.
