I am now the proud owner of a B5 Hellcat that has been waiting on this color to replace my B5 blue rt classic and lucked out after trying to find a dealer in Louisiana with an allocation and no mark up got one off the lot at MSRP in Texas. Now after getting that out my system my question is coolant and engine oil temps, I have had the car for almost two weeks and notice when stuck in traffic I have seen oil temp rise from 190-195 highway to 215 in traffic idling, coolant from around 204 highway to as high as 212 in traffic idling. Would really appreciate some feedback from owners that have been driving their card for awhile is this normal and does using the 500 hp or 700+ make a difference? Tried looking through owners manual but unable to find anything. These cars are totally amazing and I love it.

Those temps are typical for me at idle and moving.

Definitely normal operating temps, my oil temp has been as high as 260 when driven really hard, normally 200-215. Coolant temp is normally about 203-205.

Thank you for the info guys, was a mechanic offshore in Gulf of Mexico for 20 years and on the big natural gas fired engines oil temp shutdown normally around 215, maybe seeing all that information is to much but wanted to make sure nothing wrong, thanks again

Search rhe forum as there has been a lot of discussion on this. Coolant temp will go up to 222 and then the dual fans come on dropping it to about 205 very quickly . Mid point on the dash guage is 215. So the cruising temp range is about 195 to 222 depending on air temp and cruising/crawling speed.

Exactly! I've seen mine go as high as 224 before dropping. It used to concern me, now it's normal. These are hi performance cars, lots of HP. Lots of heat! There are a lot of threads on this topic with great info.
