Somehow, I have the feeling that we're still going to be hearing about Black Satin Hoods 30 or 40 years from now.

Maybe it's that fact that he was told to give up on the satin hood option or the fact that these cars are hauled down the road & handled like scrap metal? Maybe none of those cars on that hauler are the one he ordered months ago?...

I think you have a point, I was lucky, mine was in the middle of the transport and fairly well protected, My jazz blue was on the end with its window wide open, catching all kinds of freeway (possibly) crap. Attention to details is not one of the transport companies strong points.

Do not worry, that paint will be all messed up in a year or two. Just wrap it as I am going to do. $350 for the hood. Cheaper and it will protect your paint. If still not happy, just have some rum.

You wait. They did you & me a favor. The more I read about that hood option, the more I regretted it. Not only could they not figure out how to paint one here in Canada. They used a paint that could only be handled by a gloved hand! Trust me, I believe that grand they saved you was a blessing from above!

Could be worse, you could be stuck with a black car that wouldn't make any sense with a satin hood. I'm starting to kick myself over that choice....that and brass monkeys.
