According to RS, it was $4200 for challenger. Now I'm confused

Yeah... I don't think they are including the seats and NAV options that are standard now.

Gotta add those in, then add the $2500.

    Torque News says $4200, too.

Laguna and NAV both cost around $2490 based on last year prices and $1710 price increase. Not sure, how they are computing it.

Not sure why they'd make Laguna Leather standard.
There are people who don't want full leather and like the leather/alcantara combo. I'd venture to say equal amount of people ordered their Hellcats without the Laguna leather than with it

Well thinking about it, chances are the company that makes the Laguna leather, made some deal with Chrysler to make them standard to line both their and Chrysler's pockets a bit more. Like our government, take the choice out of the hands of the people and let the corporations make the decisions. Sad.

It's just that they have to much stock of it and force to get rid of it.

I wonder if ResumeSpeed has stats on how many Hellcats have been made with the Laguna Leather compared to the standard leather/alcantara mix. I'm guessing 60-65% have the leather/alcantara mix.
If I'm anywhere in the ballpark, making a choice to force future owners to pay for and have the full leather interior was a poor customer oriented decision.

It will cover it for some buyers, but fall way short for others.

There are a lot of ways to spin it, but the bottom line is that the base MSRP did in fact increase by $4,200.00, regardless of what was "thrown in". The laguna seats and nav are not desired by everyone. And for anyone ordering an auto trans (the majority) the increases rises to $5,200. Add in some more options and the difference can approach $7,000.

In addition, the voucher amount is taxable, so in some states that could cost a buyer close to $500.00.

I should be able to get that info after the end of the model year.

But a very lucrative financial decision for FCA.

Yes, of course, hence my point prior where I'm sure it made the makers of the Laguna leather and FCA a nice profit. But when it comes to customer service, it all comes back around when you bend your customers over to stick it to them in the rear, all in the name of making a bit more money for the company.

So it seems my guesstimate from months ago of $4-5k increase was right on target. Seemed logical. As I said before, anything less and they were selling themselves short, much more and customers would start to moan and groan, and possibly hold off for a GT500, or even go for a GT350 instead.

Thanks RS. I'm guessing at least 50%, but probably 60-65% went with the nice and attractive leather/alcantara set up rather than spending the extra $2k on full leather. Definitely let me know if it's easy for you to get.

I agree 100%. Guys like me who ordered the Ruby Red/Black interior just got jammed for the $1700 cost of Laguna. Pure profit for FCA and you can just subtract that $1700 from the voucher.
