I just had my oil changed for the second time and I noticed on the sales receipt that they used 7 quarts of oil. On my first oil change receipt they had 6 quarts. Different dealers. Btw. I've researched online and noticed that it takes 6 quarts however the owners manual from the glove compartment actually says it takes 7.5 quarts See the attached from the owners manual. Did they change the oil capacity during production?

I posted that about the manual also.. some say 6... some say 6.5, but ive found it to be 6.5 to the top of the hash marks after its re-warmed then allowed to sit 5 min

nominal capacity is 6 US quarts. because some services/items are menu priced, the amount that appears on your invoice may not accurately represent the amount actually used in your vehicle. if concerned, verify oil level is within the crosshatch area of the dipstick.
