Dealer just finished my first oil change on the Hellcat -- it was their first and I worked with the master tech that worked on it the whole time.

In order to access the main drain plug you will have to remove the main belly pan as usual. To get to the oil cooler (which is on the right side, left side when facing the front of the car) there is a second plastic panel that must be removed and is held in with those lovely plastic clips that love to break. :)

The oil filter was a bear to get off as usual -- they must still employ the gorilla at the factory that puts on the filters. If doing it yourself without a lift to get leverage, good luck. Just take it to the dealer...

Owners and Service Manual calls for 6 quarts which seemed odd to both of us. We filled it up with 6, fired it up, let it sit for a bit and checked the oil level and it was still a bit low. We put another half quart in and then the level was fine. So plan for 6.5 quarts.

As far as cost they gave me a $40 discount for buying the car there and apparently I get it for every change, so I will continue to take it there. With tax it came to $65.. Can't really beat that for the convenience and Penzoil Ultra Synthetic 0W-40.

Sorry I forgot to take pics of the oil cooler and location but if anyone has questions, let me know. Hope this helps.

You can't even buy the oil and filter for $65! Nice!

My dealership does my 08 SRT8 for $65 and has agreed to charge the same for my Hellcat.

Great deal! I ordered the oil and filter from Amazon and it came out to around 60. Plus, dealer said if you bring your own, they charge 20. So you got the deal of the day. I think I will still try to change on my own. What mileage did you have?

I had a little over 1100 miles on it when I took it in. Oil was a little dark but didn't really find any metal from the breakin. I'll be taking it back there in the future for sure. Unfortunately we are getting the Charger somewhere else so we won't get the same discount.

Hey when they change the engine oil did the master tech mention anything about changing the supercharger oil or any other oil parts relative?

Great price and sounds like a great dealer. I LOL when you "worked with the master tech" on an oil change. I would have thrown your a** out of the garage if I worked there.

Sorry don't have pics of the oil cooler location. I will try to remember next time if there aren't any by then.

As mentioned already, supercharger is supposed to be lifetime. Of course a failure could change that...

Nothing substantial. Obviously each case will be different.

It was their first time doing and work on a Hellcat. They were cool and didn't mind me being around since I was already knowledgable about the car -- similar to working with the tech during PDI. It was a learning process for everyone, especially when it came to finding the oil cooler to drain it.
