Dropped off the HC at the dealership for an oil change. I asked to speak wiith the tech before starting. I met him at the car. I reminded him of the engine and oil cooler drain plugs. he said i have never heard of two oil drains on a car before..Oh man i knew right then i was in big trouble in little china. bucket list is a car lift asap!

Guess they are a bit short on continuing education for their own models LOL. I guess because you work on them doesn't necessarily mean you have even the slightest interest in them.

Yeah what's more interesting is that I went into the shop bay and finished changing the oil with the lube tech and showed him the right way to turn the bolts..he should be able to do the next one if he listened to me.

The right way to turn the bolts? I have no idea what you are saying and I don't even want to know LOL. I'm just glad we live far away so I won't be using the place where you are going! Sounds very 'interesting'.

I went and talked to a couple dealerships in Odessa/Midland about servicing my Hellcat and they all made me really nervous. None knew anything about the car and all they could talk about was a test drive. So I bought all the stuff and did it myself yesterday lol. I just couldn't leave my car with them.

I hear ya, I don't know what to do either. I talked to the dealership in Del Rio also and they were worse than the ones up here. I'm thinking San Antonio or maybe calling the dealerships in Lubbock, but it's hard to get the honest truth over the phone.

There are srt approved mechanics. I thought one was required to do the pdi on the car when released by the dealer. I'm not sure on that, just what I was told.
I would hope srt had some kind of database with their approved mechanics that the consumer has access to. If not, hey FCA are you listening???
Try contacting srt and see if they can help find a qualified technician .
I'm lucky that the tech everyone has mentioned to me is at my local dealer! Haven't met with him yet, waiting to have the car present at the first meeting. Figure it's the best way to break the ice. Kinda instant cred!
