I get the first 4 oil changes free. After those I can purchase the next 4 oil changes for $292. (You get ruffly 4 oil changes for the price of three, if you purchase in advance)

Got 4 free as well then I got 30 qrts of the pen ult plt at $2 a pop. Said with the oil it would be $18 a change.
If they supply the oil they charge you around $10 a qrt and 15 for the filter so it should only be 90-100.

Have any of you guys paid attention to how much oil your cars have used in the first 1000 miles? My green cat used almost no oil at all in the first three thousand miles (changed it at 500 with no noticeable loss of oil and again at 3000). My gray cat needed 1/2 of a quart today when I checked it at 973 miles. Not the end of the world and I expect that with a few more miles on it the consumption of oil will drop off a bit. Just thought I'd ask
what some of you have experienced?

Full disclosure I changed my oil at 500 miles but it needed 0 added to remain full. Odd thing is it took a little more the 6.5 quarts to fill.
I think I remember seeing that some oil consumption is normal the first 5k miles.

hellzya.....Thanks!! I changed the oil on my first car at 500 miles and followed the "break in procedure" pretty much to the letter on the first car
and it had all kinds of issues and then the crank pulley issue put an end to it. Dodge was good enough to replace the car with a new one and I
have decided that I'll "break it in" the way that I have done for 30 years. Drive it easy for about 100 miles and then just drive it the way that I want
to drive it, easy or hard but keeping an eye on the gauges and fluids. This has served me well since the mid 80's. I may regret it with this car but
    I'm doing it anyway.

I believe that you are correct and some oil use/loss is considered "normal" for the first few thousand miles. I just hope that it gets better instead of
    worse.

I wouldn't worry about it but I would keep an eye on the oil level and document how much you add and when. Some oil usage on a new motor is nothing to get alarmed over. Also, if doing full length oil change intervals (5K) I wouldn't be surprised if you use some oil 1/2 quart or so by the time you get to the 5K mile mark.

I asked my dealer for a qt of oil and they said it would be $30. I said no thanks. figured i'd check what oil they are using. seemed crazy. maybe he messed up.
